Key ACCOUNTABILITY

Key tasks and duties are outlined below:         

  1. Responsible when serving project (Offshore/ Onshore Worksite), including but not limited to:
  • Provide and manage positioning system/rig up GPS for offshore soil investigation work in accordance to client’s and company specification.
  • Provide technical knowledge and consult design of new positioning system for offshore, nearshore and on-land soil investigation.
  • Coordinate the drilling equipment during the mobilization / demobilization and rig-up / rig-down for project.
  • Manage and ensure timely procurement of surveying spare-parts, equipment and consumables by third parties including sub-contractor and supplier meet company requirement.
  • Coordinates for maintenances, repairs and service activities to ensure time delivery and good working condition of surveying equipment to operation / project team and clients.
  • Review surveying inventories to ensure all equipment in good working condition and enough spares for all offshore surveying equipment and spare parts and uninterrupted operation performance.
  • Provide on the technical knowledge, job training and adviser to surveying crew and ensure their understanding of the surveying system and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance to Company’s HSE, Operation, and other related policy, procedure and guidelines and ensure it to subordinates.
  • To perform other duties as and when required by the company.
  • Strictly adhere to the principle of trust, integrity and confidentiality.
  1. Responsible when not serving project (at Office), including but not limited to:
  • Assist Project Manager/Operations team in preparation of survey procedures.
  • To co-ordinate activity with other members of the operations team in a mutually helpful way.
  • To check on the survey inventory system to ensure that all equipment functioning properly and maintained properly.
  • Communicating with party chief and project manager about survey issues that arise during drilling operations.
  • To participate on the survey testing events and lesson learnt that arise during drilling operation.
  • Plan ahead with Drilling Supervisor for required equipment, material and service required to avoid any operational delay by providing a 7 day look ahead plan.
  • To carry out minor and major repairs, preventive and routine maintenance on all survey equipment at specified warehouse within Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia as and when required by Company.
  • To work ad-hoc as and when required by Company to be at office or at specific warehouse/yard for equipment inventory checks.

Key QHSE tasks and duties are summaries below:

  • Support, promote and participate in all Company related program and action plans in relation to ISO, HSE Management System and other program.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and regulations in addition to promoting safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complying with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Part VI General Duties Of Employees of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (ACT 514) & Regulations and Orders as follow:
  1. To take reasonable care of the safety and health of himself and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omission at work.
  2. To co-operate with his employer or any person in the discharge of any duty or requirement imposed on the employer or that order person by his Act or any regulation made thereunder.
  3. To wear or always use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer for the purpose of preventing risks to his safety and health.
  4. To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health instituted by his employer or any other person by or under this act or any regulation made there under.
  • To inform any danger or risk or hazard related safety and health and act appropriately.
  • To co-operate with employer, making sure you get proper training, understand, and follow the company's health and safety policies.
  • Not to interfere with or misuse anything that's been provided for your health, safety, or welfare.
  • To report any injuries, strains, or illnesses you suffer because of doing the job.
  • To directly involve with safety and health program to maintain safety culture in organization.

  • KPI #1: To ensure survey expenses within project budgetary plan.
  • KPI #2: To ensure project completion within project schedule plan.

  • KPI #3: To gain client recognition and support through CSS feedback form.
  • KPI #4: To execute operation activities in compliance with laws, rules, codes and standards.

  • KPI #5: Quality of Technical Specification
  • KPI #6: Good quality of soil testing results.
  • KPI #7: Handling survey data according to best practice

  • KPI #7: Personnel Skill Development Plan, implementation and assessment.

 

Qualifications / Certifications:

Preferably Degree in Surveying or Diploma in Surveying with relevant experience.

 

Relevant Experience:

Minimum of five (5-7) years working experience as laboratory technician, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
