JOB PURPOSE
The post holder is responsible to assist Group Tax on the day-to-day taxation matters including direct & indirect taxes, statutory compliance, tax advisory as well as to attend to ad-hoc tax matters.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Attending to the information required for yearly corporate tax submission purposes.

Reviewing and vetting of tax computation prepared by tax agent.

Preparing / reviewing tax computation for entity where its tax returns and computation is prepared internally by Group Tax, and submission of tax returns to the tax authorities.

Preparing / reviewing tax estimate for the group of companies for initial tax estimate purposes, provisional tax computation for 6th month, 9th month and quarterly reporting.

Assist in indirect taxes i.e. SST / GST / VAT matters

Liaising with tax authorities for any SST / GST / VAT matters.

Assist in e-Invoicing implementation.

Liaise with finance teams, tax agent and tax officer in respect of tax matters.

Monitor and follow up on tax payment/refund positions of companies.

Attend to query for tax audit or investigation by the tax authorities.

Review of tax clause in contract/agreement.

Review of withholding tax forms

Assist in application for group tax incentives (i.e. double deduction, etc).

Assist in providing status update on tax issues.

Assisting in providing information required by other departments i.e. corporate secretarial, finance teams, etc.

Attend to any ad-hoc tax matters as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

Degree in Accountancy or any professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, MACPA, etc.)

Registered with Professional Bodies is an advantage i.e. CTIM, MIA, ACCA, etc.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years working experience in a group taxation role, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry.
