RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. RESPONSIBILTY & ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Demonstrate skill level appropriate to role in global contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and management.
  • Role will require occasional hours outside of standard business hours - to join calls with overseas team members. Able to work with counterparts around the world with different time zones. Regular and, at times, unpredictable travel, including international travel, is required.
  • Contractually and commercially risk adverse.
  • Review, draft and/or revise standard contract templates and other standard contract sections.
  • Review Tender documents and prepare legal deliverables (contract deviations, contractual analysis etc) and attend tender negotiations.
  • Meet stakeholders to understand their needs and feedback related to contract requirements, processes, risks and standards.
  • Perform and/or support peer reviews of tender documents and draft contracts, both revenue and costs level.
  • Develop and/or support contracting strategies and prepare documentations to support the partnership.
  • Negotiate, support and finalize award activities by upholding contracting best practices, process requirements, governance requirements and other compliance requirements.
  • Advise process, governance, and compliance requirements related to contracting.
  • Attend to, articulate, providing advice and resolution strategies, defend demands, disputes and issues to protect company’s interest. Coordinate and monitor litigations until settlement. Source, appoint and manage external counsels.
  • Provision of legal opinion and conduct legal research.
  • Assist in formulating standardized working template and foster consistency over time within the Group which includes, but not limited to coordinating with the relevant department & business unit.
  • Meeting and discussion materials preparation, which includes the preparation project management models and case studies, preparation of proposals on new initiatives and progress updates on all ongoing initiatives by the respective departments/functions/business units.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of approved action plans.
  • Conduct activities related to business evaluation, due diligence, market intelligence and research exercise in support with the Group’s business agenda and overall organic/inorganic growth.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree of Law (Hons)
  • Minimum 3-4 years of working experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or construction industry.
