JOB PURPOSE
The post holder is responsible in managing the ROV team facilities, system, equipment, personnel, process, document (including manual), procedure, activities (including but not limited to development, repair, maintenance, procurement of equipment & services) and expenditure (Capital and Operation).
Key Roles & Responsibility
- Overall responsibility of managing the SSS ROV team (equipment/system, staff and document).
- Develop, maintain and regularly update ROV internal technical and management system documentation, manual (including ROV Manual) and procedures.
- System certification to be kept up to date and adhered to applicable code and client requirement.
- Ensuring ROV system and equipment readiness for project and compliance to IMCA and Client requirement.
- Supply or provide technical support to project/operation/Client for ROV system, ROV supporting equipment requirement, ROV methods and explanation.
- Provide technical support & assistance to ROV team (onshore and offshore).
- Formulate, plan, implement and follow through in development, improvement, repair & maintenance of SSS ROV fleet.
- Formulate, plan, implement and follow through in purchasing ROV equipment and spares.
- Formulate, plan, implement and follow through in services required for ROV system.
- Formulate, plan, implement, follow through and track expenditure (Capital and Operation).
- Ensuring ROV system’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and Spare List are updated.
- Manage in ROV personnel’s training plan including competency scheme, personnel appraisal and ongoing development.
- Provide regular update to superior/Management on ROV system readiness status, condition, spare list and other matters as required by superior/Management.
- Fully conversant with PMS system and ensure adherence to the system.
- Handle and close out system Audits
- Provide ROV input for tender submission, inquiry, Risk Assessment (RA) or other matters as required.
- Adhering to Company QHSE & general rules and regulation.

Qualifications / Certifications:
- Minimum Degree in engineering, technical or related field.
- IMCA Approved Certification for ROV is an advantage

Financial measures or statistics relevant to post such as budget; list of direct and indirect reports.

Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years working experience in ROV industry.
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience in ROV supervisory level.
- Minimum of three (3) years working experience in management/ superintendent roles.
- The person shall have experience in handling ROV audits.
- Shall have handled fibre optic splicing.
