JOB PURPOSE
HSE Advisor I (Health, Safety, and Environment Advisor I) provides expertise and guidance on health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices within a workplace or project setting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensures compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and policies set forth by governmental agencies and industry bodies.
Conducts thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and develop strategies for mitigating risks.
Develops and delivers safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and ensure understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Leads investigations into workplace incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develops emergency response plans and procedures to effectively address and mitigate potential emergencies or disasters in the workplace.
Conducts regular inspections of work sites, facilities, and equipment to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Implements environmental management systems to minimize the organization's environmental footprint and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Promotes a strong safety culture within the organization by fostering open communication, encouraging employee participation, and recognizing safety achievements.
Maintains accurate records of safety-related activities, incidents, and inspections, and prepares reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
Identifies opportunities for improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices and collaborates with management to implement effective solutions.
Engages with internal stakeholders, external regulatory agencies, and community members to address concerns, gather feedback, and build positive relationships related to health, safety, and environmental matters.
